Polyurethane Wheels
Polyurethane (PU) wheels are a synthetic rubber providing the elasticity of rubber wheels with the strength and durability of metal wheels. PU wheels are made by combining chemicals which are then poured into a mould and cast. Polyurethane wheels can be manufactured to range of hardness dependent on the intended application. Ranging from soft to very hard, polyurethane wheel fabrication is controlled by the compound ingredients and through the production process.
Nylon Wheels
Nylon is a high quality thermoplastic polyamide and has natural characteristics which make it a popular tread material for industrial wheels, it has been used for decades in industrial applications and specifically materials handling. Nylon wheels are very strong and have high load capacities. This tread material is popular because it is inexpensive, impact, tear and wear resistant. Nylon is used for example with wheels, industrial castors, pallet rollers, heavy duty castors, flanged and grooved wheels and conveyor rollers. Other characteristics of nylon wheels include non-marking, low rolling resistance, excellent resistance to chemical and oils and fracture resistant.
PA6G Nylon Wheels
PA6 G is produced by direct polymerization in moulds and has a partially crystalline structure. The high crystallinity gives it excellent mechanical properties such as high abrasion and wear resistance and good hardness and stiffness.
