Designed to last CNIM escalators are known for durability – installations from the 1960’s in the Paris Metro are still in use today. In Hong Kong, one of the most intensively-used subway networks in the world, CNIM escalators operate 20 hours a day and withstood over 30 years of service before being upgraded. In 31 years they covered a distance equivalent to 15 round-the-world trips.
