Nylon is a high quality thermoplastic polyamide and has natural characteristics which make it a popular tread material for industrial wheels. Nylon has been used for decades in industrial applications and specifically materials handling. Nylon castors are very strong and have high load capacities.
Nylon castors are also popular because they are inexpensive, impact, tear and wear resistant. Nylon is used for example with wheels, industrial castors, pallet rollers, heavy duty castors, flanged and grooved wheels and conveyor rollers. Other characteristics of nylon castors include non-marking, low rolling resistance, excellent resistance to chemical and oils and fracture resistant.
Nylon has a high melting point so it can operate at +80°C to +90°C without tread deformation. It can also operate at low temperatures of -30°C and -40°C. Nylon is tasteless, odourless and hygienic making it ideal for food processing plants and cold stores.
TEP Technica Ltd stocks a wide range of nylon wheels and nylon castors and nylon casters and nylon pallet rollers and nylon steer wheels for next day delivery at very competitive prices. Keywords: nylon castors, nylon swivel castors, nylon fixed castors, nylon braked castors.
